A Huntington Beach, California-based sales professional, Andrew Montana recently worked as a district manager with Integra/Miltex, a company that provides innovative product solutions for the medical community. Outside of his other activities in and around Huntington Beach, Andrew Montana serves as a volunteer for the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO).
In addition to overseeing soccer programs for youth of all ages and abilities, AYSO conducts training and certification programs and activities for volunteer coaches, referees, and administrators. The organization’s largest event for volunteer development is the AYSO EXPO, which is held each year in cities across North America.
In 2016, AYSO EXPOs were held in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; Ontario, California; Chicago, Illinois; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Salt Lake City, Utah. At each of the five EXPOs, attendees had the opportunity to network with other AYSO volunteers and take part in training and continuing education programs focused on coaching, refereeing, marketing, and other facets of AYSO’s programs.
Outside of the learning and networking activities, the EXPOs, which were held between January and April, featured sponsors and vendors offering attendees various products and opportunities. For more information about the AYSO EXPO, visit www.aysoexpo.org.
